Mrs. Maureen E. S. Wyse was promoted to the position of Director of Science, Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, in January 1, 2025. She was the Acting Director of Science prior to her promotion.

With over 25 years of experience in academia, research, and leadership across the energy and environmental sectors, Mrs. Wyse is a recognized authority in environmental management, bioremediation, waste management, and ecological studies.

She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Benin, where she is also completing her Ph.D. in Plant Ecology. A NEBOSH-certified Environmental Manager and ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor, she embodies a strong commitment to sustainability and global best practices.

Mrs. Wyse is a Fellow of the Linnean Society of London (FLS) and an active member of several professional bodies including MNES, MBES, MBOSON, and MECOSON. Her contributions to environmental science and ecology have been widely published, and her leadership continues to inspire innovation and excellence.
