The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), the foremost oil and gas hands-on lnstitute invites applications from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into the School of Industrial and Continuing Education (SICE) Part-Time Weekend Higher National Diploma (HND) and National Diploma (ND) Programmes for the 2020/2021 Academic Session.
OBJECTIVES
The programmes are aimed at training qualified persons, especially oil sector personnel who wish to acquire requisite skills and knowledge without giving up their job as well as working class persons in the engineering and/or oil servicing sector.

  1. To establish, implement and continually review hands-on industry focused training, skill acquisition and research; using state-of- the-art facilities in a conducive learning environment in line with global best practices.
  2. To position the Institute as a “Hub and Centre of Excellence” for the development of technology and solution-based consultancy services in the petroleum and allied industries.
  3. To provide knowledge sharing platforms across the spectrum of the petroleum and allied industry through conferences, workshops, symposia, seminars and exhibitions.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Performing research and conducting studies related to the modern techniques which provide solutions to industry challenges. Academics from various fields are in constant engagements with the industry, analyzing their needs, and developing bespoke solutions to drive economic growth and development in Nigeria.

The Petroleum Training Institute is a specialized Institution with a mandate to train indigenous manpower to meet the technical and administrative demands of the oil and gas and other allied industries in Nigeria and Africa. The Conference centre is a modern complex specially designed with training facilities to suit both higher and lower cadre of personnel in the petroleum and allied industries in the following areas : Seminars , Symposia , Conferences , and Workshops.
